A look at the effects of breeding ponds on the presence and distribution of American Toads (Amaxyrus americanus) on the Dickinson College Farm

As part of an ongoing study, a population of American Toads, located on the Dickinson College Farm, was monitored. The toads were thought to be functioning as a method of integrated pest management (IPM) by ridding the farm of harmful insects.

Working as one of the lead researchers on this project, I directed volunteers in data collection as well as analyzing the data itself. Our findings were presented both at the Dickinson College All-Science Symposium and the Lehigh Valley Ecology & Evolution Symposium (downloadable poster below).
